Opera house, Kyiv
This work on paper is an abstraction of the beautiful Kyiv Opera house, Ukraine. The invasion and war began in the cold winter of 2022, when Covid-19 had already cast a shadow over the world. The Prime Minister stood in front of this lovely building and I could not but help to fear what might become of the country's historical landmarks and identity. The question remains in 2025.
Ink, watercolor, conte and graphite on paper, 30 x 22”
