Seraphim
Seraphim is an account of the book of Isaiah, chapter 6. Isaiah 6 is a spectacular account of the throne room of God, as He is surrounded by the seraphim, six-winged and flying about Him. In this work on paper, I describe with color and line the intense wind caused by the beating of the angels’ wings with effulgent light breaking in between the spaces of their movements. I imagine this space as cool, fresh and with a brightness that cannot be described. I would love to see this image become a stained glass window someday.
Watercolor, gouache, graphite and ink on paper, 24 × 18”
