My current body of work focuses on life and loss through studies of funeral floral arrangements. This particular work, developed from drawing and into deep impasto oil painting is a study for a larger work. Upon my Grandfather's passing in late 2023, I created this work as an homage to him. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and he served with honor and distinction. He will always be "My veteran" and I titled the painting so.
