Collection: Paris

This series emerged from extended time observing Paris as a lived and felt environment rather than a documented place. The paintings attend to architecture, light, and rhythm.  Each of my stays in Paris impressed upon me how the city reveals itself through repetition, quiet shifts, and the accumulated artistic efforts of centuries of creative activity.  I am always humbled and silenced by this city.

While I show my affinity for specific locations, my Paris series is less concerned with representation and more with atmosphere. Paris had become for me another lens through which notions of belonging, familiarity, and longing are explored.  This allows each painting to hold both specificity and openness.

Works from this series are available for acquisition.
